Dale Simpson

BE(Civil) FIEAust CPEng


Dale is a director of Perrett Simpson Pty Ltd and a founding partner of the practice. He graduated in 1979, with Distinction, from Swinburne Institute of Technology, with a degree in Civil Engineering. After a brief stint as a management trainee with Boral Ltd, he gained employment as a structural design engineer in 1981. Since that time Dale has been continuously involved in the design, documentation and supervision of Architect designed buildings, and associated works.

Dale has been active in professional development and is past secretary and vice president of the Association of Consulting Structural Engineers, Victoria. He has been involved in the I.E. (Aust) ‘Engineers in Schools Programme’ and assisted on the interview panel for the I.E (Aust) prospective member applications.

Alan O'Driscoll

BEng MIEAust CPEng


Alan is a Director of Perrett Simpson Pty Ltd. Alan began his career as a structural engineer in Ireland before moving to Melbourne and joining Perrett Simpson in 2009.  He graduated from Cork Institute of Technology in Ireland with an Honours Degreee in Structural Engineering.

Alan is a Chartered Professional Engineer with significant experience in the design and documentation of large, complex, community, commercial and residential buildings.  He is dedicated to providing professional, friendly service and his considered and resolved structural design solutions will assist the smooth progress of your next project.

Gai Palmer

ADip. IntDes., AdDip. BusM.


Gai is a Director of Perrett Simpson Pty Ltd.  She has over ten years experience in business administration, has completed an advanced diploma in Interior Design and Business Management, and is currently studying a Bachelor of Business Management at Swinburne University.  Her interests and skills are in all business related areas, including team management, financial, logistical and strategic issues, and marketing. 

Gai utilises her strong organisational and team management skills, plus her 10 plus years of administrative experience, to promote the development of the business, maintain quality internal systems and creatively construct new processes to foster the growth of the company.
